Characterized by overwhelming negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors leading to lethargy, loss of interest in activities of previous interest, changes in weight, sleeping, eating and socials patterns that interferes with activities of daily living.

Characterized by excessive repetitive uncontrollable thoughts that drive repetitive uncontrollable behaviors that over time become increasingly problematic to the extent they occur for 60+ minutes per day and interfere with quality of life and activities of daily living.

Followed by rebuilding a more solid structure for thoughts and feelings thus reducing obsessions and therefore compulsions. Characterized by a pervasive pattern of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity beginning in childhood and carrying through to adulthood in 2/3’s of cases.

Followed by rebuilding a more solid structure for thoughts and feelings thus changing attention all management and threshold. Heavy dosage of relaxation training and Biofeedback mandatory for self regulation.
Characterized by acute or chronic disturbance of sleep that negatively affects the activities of daily living, quality of life, or health.
Strategy- Dismantle sleep related thoughts and behaviors responsible for the disturbance. Evaluation of the previous sleep hygiene. Followed by rebuilding a more beneficial process for thoughts and feelings surrounding sleep thus reducing sleep disturbances. Heavy dosage of elongated relaxation training and strong dosage of Biofeedback recommended.
IBS-Irritable Bowel Syndrome:
Usually diagnosed but not treatable by a medical doctor. IBS is an overactive physiological digestive response to stressers, anxiety, and other psychological issues that manifest physiologically in a gastrointestinal fashion.
Strategy- Identification of the stressor. Dismantling of faulty thought patterns responsible for the symptoms being associated with this stressor. Evaluation of the previous behavioral patterns. Followed by installation of new coping strategies to manage stressors. Heavy nutritional focus coupled with a large dosage of relaxation training and Biofeedback required.
Characterized by throbbing in the head, possibly localized, increased sensitivity to light sound or odors, and may include nausea or vomiting.
Strategy- Evaluation of the situations in which Migraines occur. Followed by rebuilding the structure of coping strategies, thoughts, and feelings that surround those situations. Nutritional coaching, relaxation training, and Biofeedback and Thermal Biofeedback recommended.
Recent Medical Injury/Diagnosis/Surgery:
Characterized by a major change in physical functioning that impacts activities of daily living and quality of life.
Strategy- Evaluation of the previous level of function and the impact of the changes. Followed by rebuilding of a structure for thoughts and feelings associated with the change, while targeting and preventing problems in thought and behavioral patterns from developing. Replacing discontinued activities with functional new behaviors that allow for the maximum physical activity potential. Thought record and thought awareness monitoring are key. Nutritional coaching, relaxation training and Biofeedback are recommended.
While encountering the dissolution of a relationship many factors affecting quality of life and activities of daily living can be disturbed.
Strategy-Acknowledgement of the changes and understanding and acceptance of these changes are essential. Here the treatment is much like that of bereavement, a very important process to be carefully navigated with as much support as possible.
Even with the joy of a honeymoon period most relationships that progress past casual dating include a host of changes to come. Some of these changes, even the seemingly positive ones, can bring confusing emotions that are important to attend to and work through early on, I hopes of a health future.
Strategy-Here we examine the newly emerging relationship and the perceived threats to lifestyle and or stirring up of unassociated feelings and thoughts that may interfere with the health and longevity of the relationship. Biofeedback recommended.
Moving as an individual going off to college, job or familial relocation, or a financial up or downsize all bring many associated issues that deserve proper attention. Considering all the changes and individuals directly or indirectly affected is not an easy task.
Strategy-Acknowledgement of all the positive and negative changes associated with this major change and reinforce coping skills to adjust to the new surroundings. Biofeedback and relaxation training required.
New Career/Job Change:
Starting a new job is an acute situation that brings along with it a lot of change and new information often leaving very smart people on what I like to call the “Idiot Curve” for about three months. You must make new friends, learn new places to get food, have a new commute, a new structure, and a boat load of new tasks simultaneously. This can be a little stressful to be modest. When there is so much expected of us at once, often can leave us feeling insufficient and vulnerable even though there was clearly enough competency and experience to hired to begin with, planting seeds of self doubt.
Strategy-Remember this is temporary and if you don’t address these feeling, you might be too. Venting here is extremely important. It is necessary to attend to those feelings of inadequacy immediately. Maintaining ones composure and self preserving despite the strong inclination to fall victim to these negative notions. Nutritional maintenance and sleep hygiene maintenance are both crucial.
Biofeedback and Thermal Biofeedback are recommended.
